Art in Motion

Join artist/instructor Paula DeLay and health and safety expert Sarah Hawkins for the ALL NEW Art In Motion hiking series. Art in Motion gives participants the opportunity to explore local trails with expert guidance and experience the natural world through movement and art. We'll start the day with some gentle exercises to warm up our bodies for the hike. Once we hit the trail, Sarah will point out the local flora, fauna, and natural history of the trail as well as provide safety (and snacks!) for all participants. At certain points along the way, we'll stop for art lessons from Paula. You will be introduced to basic plein air (outdoor) painting techniques, field sketching, and field watercolor.
